The country imported 248,300 tons more gasoline in the first seven months of 2026 than in January–July 2025. The average import price rose to $600 per ton, compared with $575 a year earlier.

During the same period in 2025, Uzbekistan imported 461,700 tons of gasoline worth $264.9 million.

The latest figures show that the increase in import volumes was accompanied by a rise in the total value of purchases from abroad. Gasoline imports were worth $161.1 million more in January–July 2026 than in the corresponding period of 2025.

Uzbekistan produced 614,200 tons of gasoline in the first half of 2026.

That was 34.5 tons more than in the first half of 2025, according to the figures cited in the report. However, production remained 62,700 tons below the level recorded during the first six months of 2024.

The rise in imports comes as domestic gasoline production remains below its level of two years earlier, despite a slight increase compared with the first half of 2025.
