The exhibition, opened jointly with Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, brings together artefacts from museums in Uzbekistan and collections in Qatar, covering the pre-Islamic period, the Samanid and Timurid eras, and the modern period, Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Presidential Administration, said on September 3.

The exhibition also features examples of traditional crafts and textile art, offering visitors an opportunity to explore Uzbekistan’s history and cultural heritage.

The “Ektashif Uzbekistan” exhibition also opened in Qatar the same day, showcasing works created by seven Qatari artisans following their visit to Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.

Inspired by Uzbekistan’s culture and traditions, the artisans created jewellery, calligraphy-inspired works and carpets. The exhibition also features photographs from their journey.
