The talks took place in Istanbul as part of preparations for a new project to expand modern social services for children and strengthen family support in Uzbekistan.
Avrupa Çocuk has operated since 2010 and can serve up to 1,400 children a month across 13 branches in Istanbul, offering free services through programs run with Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education.
Its approach centers on individualized care, with specialists developing tailored rehabilitation and learning plans after an initial assessment. Teams of physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists and educators use various therapies to help children develop independence and daily living skills, while also involving parents in the process.
Following the visit, the agency said it could use Türkiye’s experience to reform its rehabilitation system, with further cooperation to determine the new center’s specific parameters.
