Reportedly, the project received UZS 12.5 billion in concessional financing to build a modern greenhouse using lightweight structures on a five-hectare site. In its first stage, the project involved 50 families listed in the Social Register, providing them with permanent employment. Each participating family has 0.1 hectares of greenhouse space and receives training and practical support from the entrepreneur overseeing the project.
Over the next two years, participating families will receive hands-on training to develop the knowledge and skills needed to set up their own greenhouses on their household plots and build a stable source of income. The entrepreneur will also purchase the agricultural products they grow at market prices, the presidential press service said.
The greenhouse facility also trains up to 1,000 people each year in modern greenhouse and farming techniques, helping residents develop stable sources of income. Around 500 ducks are being raised in a 350-metre canal near the greenhouse facility, with each participating family receiving 10 breeding ducks imported from Brazil, along with guidance on raising them.
The project was presented as an initiative to promote entrepreneurship and create jobs in rural areas. The site also uses resource-efficient technologies, including solar panels with a total capacity of 100 kilowatts, which provide enough electricity to meet the greenhouse facility’s daily needs.
