Mirziyoyev recalled Kamalov’s life, his contributions to Karakalpakstan and his service to the people.
Kallibek Kamalov died in February 2026. He held senior positions in Karakalpakstan for many years and was involved in the region’s socioeconomic development, including its industrial and agricultural sectors, as well as initiatives related to the well-being of the population, the presidential press service said.
In his later years, Kamalov served as chairman of the region’s public council of veterans. In that role, he supported older people, promoted social harmony and contributed to the upbringing of younger generations. His contributions were recognized with the Shuhrat Medal and the El-Yurt Hurmati Order.
