The “Strength of Unity – 2026” exercises began at the Gizilqaya training center in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh Economic Region, according to the Defense Ministry of Uzbekistan.
The drills are intended to improve the forces’ readiness for joint operations, enhance interoperability, standardize training procedures and strengthen the combat capabilities of participating units.
Commanders involved in the exercises emphasized the importance of sharing experience across different areas, learning from each other’s modern approaches and methods, and expanding practical cooperation between military units.
The exercises will be held in three stages at Azerbaijani military training grounds in the Karabakh Economic Region, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian Sea.
The locations include the Gizilqaya training ground in the Karabakh Economic Region, the Karabakhlar training ground in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Boyuk Zira training ground in Azerbaijan’s Caspian Sea sector.
