According to data from the National Statistics Committee, the figure increased by 15,300 people, or 2.1 times, compared with the same period last year.

Citizens of Turkmenistan accounted for the largest share of foreign arrivals for study, with 11,986 people. India ranked second with 6,163, followed by Tajikistan with 2,271.

The figures for other countries were:

  • China – 1,311;

  • Pakistan – 1,252;

  • Kyrgyzstan – 1,028;

  • Egypt – 852;

  • South Korea – 732;

  • the Philippines – 620.

Another 3,333 foreign citizens came from other countries.
