Uzbekistan come into the match after a 3–1 victory over Iran at Istiklol Stadium in Fergana. Eldor Shomurodov scored twice, while Khusayin Norchaev added the third goal to secure the win.
The team’s next friendly is scheduled for October 6, when Uzbekistan will travel to face South Korea.
