Samarkand region governor Adiz Boboyev met with company representatives to discuss the proposed facility. The regional administration said the meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the Silk Grid digital project.
The parties plan to assess the availability of electricity and water, telecommunications infrastructure and information security requirements as part of the project’s preparation.
They also discussed a preliminary feasibility study, the estimated investment required, potential funding sources, land allocation and the need for supporting engineering and utility infrastructure.
To advance the initiative, the parties agreed to appoint responsible representatives and develop a cooperation roadmap with relevant organizations.
