Uzbekistan pays UZS 642.1 billion to households for solar power supplied to grid

Uzbekistan paid UZS 642.1 billion in state subsidies to households under its Solar Home program in January–September 2026.

According to the Tax Committee, 70.7 thousand people received payments for electricity generated by their solar panels and fed into the power grid during the reporting period.

Bukhara region received the largest amount, at UZS 116.7 billion, followed closely by Khorezm region with UZS 115.3 billion. The Republic of Karakalpakstan ranked third, receiving UZS 77.3 billion.

Other regions also received substantial payments: UZS 72.6 billion in Kashkadarya, UZS 49.8 billion in Navoi, UZS 45.6 billion in Fergana and UZS 36.1 billion in Samarkand.
