Ilhom Nematov demoted, Farkhod Arziyev replaces him as First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
Ilhom Nematov has been demoted. He is replaced by Farkhod Arziyev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India.
First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilhom Nematov, has been demoted. This was announced at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov. Ilhom Nematov will continue his work as a Deputy Minister.
According to Kun.uz source, Farkhod Arziyev replaces Nematov as the first deputy head of the Foreign Ministry.
In May 2017, Farkhod Arziyev was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to India. He previously served as an advisor to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Federal Republic of Germany.
It should be recalled that Ilhom Nematov has been working as the First Deputy Foreign Minister since November 2018.
