Electricity imports to Uzbekistan increased, while exports decreased
The figures for the production, supply and import of electricity for January-May 2023 have been announced.

In the first 5 months of 2023, 31.9 billion kWh of electricity was produced in Uzbekistan. This is 1.0 billion kWh or 3.3% more than in the same period last year, the Ministry of Energy reported.
Consumers were supplied with 27 billion kWh of electricity. This figure is 1.6 billion kWh or 6.5% more than in the same period in 2022.
In January-May, 2.5 billion kWh of electricity was imported to cover the growing domestic consumption. This is 384.6 million kWh or 18.6% more than in the same period last year.
During this period, 1.1 billion kWh of electricity was exported. This is 243.2 million kWh or 18.5% less than in the same period last year.
