MPE: Over 620 thousand first-graders going to school this year

In the 2019-2020 academic year, more than 6.17 million students will attend schools in Uzbekistan. Of these, 620 thousand children are first-graders, the Ministry of Public Education said.

It is noted that about 9904 state educational institutions on September 4 admitted children. The number of schools compared to the previous academic year increased by 213 units.

In the current academic year, the total amount of textbooks at schools will be around 36.5 million copies.
