Central Bank urges victims of Humans app fraud to contact police
The Central Bank has announced that an investigation into cases of unauthorized withdrawals through the Humans app has been completed and that the relevant materials have been forwarded to the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs. Citizens affected by the incident are being urged to contact law enforcement agencies.
According to the regulator’s press service, a working group was established and an inspection was carried out at Octogram JSC, the payment organization that provides payment services to Humans, based on a relevant order issued by the Central Bank.
“Based on the results of the inspection, a report was prepared and, in accordance with the established procedure, submitted to the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs for legal assessment and for measures to be taken within its authority. At present, the situation related to Humans is being reviewed by the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs in the manner prescribed by law,” the Central Bank said in its statement.
In connection with this case, citizens have been asked to file complaints with law enforcement authorities.
