MFA addressed to Uzbek citizens residing in America
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs addressed to citizens of Uzbekistan living in the US, Canada and other countries of the North American continent.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States, Uzbekistan Airways has suspended regular “Tashkent - New York – Tashkent” flights from March 16, 2020, to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The embassy also advised citizens planning to travel to the United States to postpone their trips and reservations. Uzbekistan Airways will not charge fines for flight cancellations.
At the same time, citizens who return to Uzbekistan will be quarantined for 14 days.
Due to the escalation of coronavirus prevalence in the United States and the announcement of a state of emergency by the government, citizens of Uzbekistan are recommended not to visit the United States unless there is an urgent need.
Acceptance and review of consular and legal documents are conducted remotely to prevent the spread of coronavirus among visitors to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington and the Consulate General in New York (with no personal request), as well as through postal correspondence. Exceptions are the documents that require the physical presence of people in the embassy.
In this regard, helpline of the Embassy and the Consulate General in New York started operating to establish and maintain contact with citizens.
In case of any issues, the embassy asked citizens of Uzbekistan to contact them:
