Uzbek Academy of the Armed Forces to strengthen cooperation with the UK Defense Academy
Within the framework of international military cooperation, the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan conducted a training on “International Relations and Security” with the representatives of the UK Defense Academy.
The event was attended by Dr. Tracey German, Deputy Dean of Academic Studies (Research) at the Defense Studies Department of the King’s College and professors of the Academy of Armed Forces.
It should be noted that close relations with the UK Defense Academy was established in 2015, which, so far, has allowed to develop a reliable mechanism for organizing joint events.
Over the past three years, the faculty members of the Academy of Armed Forces has visited the British Academy of Defense several times and attended courses on “Public Security”.
The Uzbek side created a training room for the British Armed Forces at the Academy building, which was great news for the guests.
“Great work has been done to equip this training room in cooperation with the British Military Attaché to Uzbekistan Major Andrew Strefford. The British side is now ready to launch videoconferences and distance learning sessions on international security issues between higher education institutions of our countries,” said Lieutenant Colonel Ravshan Talipov, head of the Foreign Relations Department at the Academy of Armed Forces.

It should be recalled that in June this year, Andrew Roe, director of the Senior Command and Staff Courses at the UK Defense Academy, visited the Academy of Armed Forces of Uzbekistan. During the visit, the sides discussed issues related to British experts’ training in Uzbekistan for one year and the establishment of a distance learning system.
