The Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov received the Ambassador of Bangladesh Md. Zahangir Alam, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
"We express our gratitude to Mr. Ambassador for his efforts aimed at enriching Uzbekistan-Bangladesh relations during his diplomatic career and wish him success in his future work," the MFA press service quotes the minister as saying.
Md. Zahangir Alam has been heading the Bangladesh embassy in Tashkent since October 2020. He presented his credentials to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on April 23, 2021.
In June this year, during a scientific council meeting at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, the ambassador was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) diploma in economic sciences.
It should be reminded that Md. Zahangir Alam replaced Mosud Mannan, who was the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan for 7 years.
