The benefits will be available through Uzbekistan Airways and other Uzbek resident airlines, authorized railway ticket offices and bus terminals and stations. Eligibility will be verified through the Unified National Social Protection Information System maintained by the National Agency for Social Protection.
Passengers will only need to show an identity document, such as an ID card or biometric passport. The benefit will cover economy-class airfares, while railway passengers will be able to use it to purchase tickets for economy, platzkart and compartment carriages.
Starting January 1, 2027, eligible passengers will also be able to obtain free or discounted tickets through Baraka, the mobile application linked to the Social Card.
The National Agency for Social Protection will reimburse transport providers for the cost of the discounted services from the state budget. The Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations and Pension Fund will regularly transmit information on eligible beneficiaries to the agency through the Digital Government system.
In 2025, transport providers issued discounted tickets worth around UZS 4.3 billion to nearly 50,000 eligible passengers.
