Shakhram Giyasov to fight Winston Campos, Madrimov to face Eric Walker
On the morning of August 16, Shakhram Giyasov will meet with Winston Campos on the ring. Initially, the Uzbek athlete was supposed to fight Francisco Rojo, but the Mexican fighter was diagnosed with a coronavirus infection. Giyasov said that changing the opponent a few days prior to the fight will not create any problem for him.

“I was supposed to fight Francisco Rojo, but he was diagnosed with coronavirus. Thus, we have changed the opponent, but I am ready to fight Winston Campos. He is a very experienced boxer as he had a lot of fights in professional boxing. I have been training in the USA for a long time, I have been in 400 fights during my amateur career. My team prepared me to face experienced opponents,” Giyasov said at a press conference.
It should be noted that the last fight of Shakhram Giyasov took place in August 2019, when he knocked out Colombian Darleys Perez in the first round.
In addition, on August 16, another Uzbek boxer Israil Madrimov will get into the ring – he will fight American Eric Walker.
The bouts will be broadcast live on Sport TV on August 16 at 05:00.
