Qeshm Air to launch flights to Uzbekistan
Qeshm Air of Iran is launching flights to Uzbekistan.
According to Iran Daily, which reported citing the country’s ambassador, Qeshm Air will launch direct flights from Tehran to Tashkent and Samarkand on December 22.
The publication noted that during the official visit of the President of Iran to Uzbekistan on September 14-16, 18 agreements and memorandums were signed with the aim of further expanding multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. Among the signed documents are the “Agreement on the facilitation of visa procedures for representatives of business and scientific circles and tourist groups” and the “Program of cooperation in the field of tourism for 2022-2025”.
Iran Daily draws readers’ attention to the fact that the increase in direct flights between Uzbekistan and Iran will create a favorable opportunity for the development of the tourism industry and friendly relations between the two peoples will continue to be strengthened.
Currently, the Iranian operator Zagros Airlines operates direct flights between the capitals of the two countries once a week. From December 22, 2022, the Iranian airline Qeshm Air will open direct flights from Tehran to Tashkent and Samarkand.
