Shavkat Mirziyoyev awards Sergey Lavrov with the order “Dustlik”

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on awarding the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with the order “Dustlik” (Friendship), the presidential press service reports.

According to the document, Sergey Lavrov has been awarded the order for outstanding achievements in the development of Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership, significant contribution to the development of multifaceted bilateral relations in all areas, strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries.

The order “Dustlik” was established on the initiative of the first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov at a parliamentary session held on May 5-6, 1994.
