College employee arrested for attempting to sell a diploma
On July 27, a Surkhandarya local Kh. G. appealed to the Regional Department of Combatting Corruption and Economic Crimes with an urgent request, reports Main Department of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Above-mentioned local was offered a diploma of the Sariosiyo Pedagogical Professional College for $ 500, despite the fact that he never attended it.
The report says, a college employee R. J. was arrested by the local staff of the Department of Combatting Corruption and Economic Crimes, when he was taking bribe from a Surkhandarya local Kh, G. Reliable sources inform that the college employee demanded around 4 million sums, which is approximately $ 500, in an exchange for a college diploma.
The Sariosiyo District Department of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan against the corrupt employee.
