Eurasia university rankings 2018. None of the Uzbek university is in the list
The Times Higher Education (THE), a data provider on university rankings, has published the list of top Eurasian universities of 2018.
The results of the ranking were announced at the “Times Higher Education Research Excellence Summit: Eurasia”, which was held in partnership with Kazan Federal University from 29 to 31 August, 2018.
The Eurasia region covers Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
The top three positions were occupied by Russian universities: Moscow State University, Moscow Physics and Technology Institute and Tomsk Polytechnic University. Higher educational institutions of Iran, Turkey, Ukraine, Georgia and Belarus have also been included in the ranking.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings was founded in 2004. Experts of the data provider evaluate higher education institutions on 13 criteria. These include the number of international students enrolled, reputation, international scholarship programs, degree of research, innovation, quoting scientific articles, quality of educational services and so on.
