Bekobod district department of the General Prosecutor’s Office exposed during investigations that heads of several state organizations, including Department of Agriculture and Water Resources, State Committee on Statistics, Department of Land Resources and State Cadastre illegally withdrawn 237,7 million sums from the State Budget and transferred the money to the accounts of 25 farmers, reports the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office. This money was part of the fund allocated for financial support of the Agricultural sector.
Criminal cases have been instituted against these officials with relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Investigative actions are underway.
