The Uzbek-Afghan Friendship Society founded
On September 18, 2018, a new establishment, the Uzbek-Afghan Friendship Society was set up. The special representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatilla Irgashev was appointed the Chairman of the institution, UzA.uz news agency reports.
“The government and the people of Afghanistan back up the consistent and stable policy implemented in your country,” said Sayid Shahobuddin Temuriy, the Afghan ambassador to Uzbekistan. “Uzbekistan renders constant support in ensuring peace in Afghanistan and assists improving the living standards of our people. We believe that the cooperation established with neighboring states is of great importance in ensuring peace and stability in the region,” the Ambassador added.
