Shavkat Mirziyoyev is to visit France on October 8-9
On Oct. 8-9, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to France at the invitation of President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frédéric Macron, the press service of the head of state reports.
Within the framework of Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s official visit, number of high-level talks, including a meeting with the French President, negotiations with the leadership of the parliament and a business meeting with the representatives of leading French companies and financial institutions are scheduled.
The agenda of the Uzbek-French summit includes issues of further developing political dialogue, expanding practical cooperation in trade, economic and financial spheres, jointly implementing investment projects in various sectors, as well as enhancing cooperation in cultural and humanitarian areas.
Following the meetings and negotiations, over 10 intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents will be signed, among which are agreements on cooperation in the fields of finance, transport, tourism, ecology, culture and others.
Head of our state will also meet with Audrey Azoulay, Director-general of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The sides are expected to discuss prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the organization and adopt a joint Action Plan for 2018-2021.
