The leaders said the signing of the Declaration on the Establishment of Strategic Partnership Relations was one of the summit's principal outcomes, formally elevating bilateral ties to a new level.

President Mirziyoyev said the declaration opens a new chapter in interstate cooperation and reflects both countries' firm commitment to the long-term development of their multifaceted partnership.

The presidents noted that extensive preparations had contributed to the success of the negotiations.

Ahead of the visit, the two sides held meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council, political consultations, the third Uzbekistan–Belarus Regions Forum, Uzbekistan Culture Days, and discussions involving representatives of analytical institutions.

The leaders also emphasized the importance of expanding political dialogue and strengthening interparliamentary cooperation.

Trade, industry and energy take center stage

Before the summit, the two countries approved a comprehensive roadmap outlining practical measures to increase bilateral trade to $2 billion and launch new joint projects in priority sectors.

The plan covers cooperation in agriculture, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, microelectronics, textiles, furniture manufacturing, and other industries.

The sides also reached an agreement to draw on Belarus' experience in the construction of Uzbekistan's first nuclear power plant and related infrastructure.

The presidents praised the results of the third Uzbekistan–Belarus Regions Forum, which brought together nearly 230 Uzbek entrepreneurs.

Expanding cooperation across multiple sectors

Mirziyoyev and Lukashenko reaffirmed their commitment to closer cooperation within regional and international organizations, including the United Nations, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Non-Aligned Movement.

They also agreed to continue expanding exchanges in culture, the arts, education, healthcare, and tourism.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev thanked Alexander Lukashenko for proposing the creation of the Uzbekistan – Belarus Friendship Alley in Minsk.

The two leaders also agreed to hold medical, education, and tourism forums later this year.

Concluding the briefing, the presidents said the outcomes of the visit would further strengthen the newly established strategic partnership and contribute to the sustainable development and prosperity of both Uzbekistan and Belarus.
