Shavkat Mirziyoyev departs for France
On Oct. 8, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for France on an official visit at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron, Uza.uz reports.
During the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold talks with the French President, leadership of the parliament and the representatives of leading French companies and financial institutions.
Following the meetings, over 10 intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents will be signed, among which are agreements on cooperation in the fields of finance, transport, tourism, ecology, culture and others.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also meet with Audrey Azoulay, Director-general of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The sides are expected to discuss prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the organization and adopt a joint Action Plan for 2018-2021.
