Man charged with a crime for looting 1 billion sums in Navoi

On October 11, 2018, a resident of Navoi city, A.A., appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a claim that the head of the company he worked for had committed looting, the Department of Public Relations and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

According to the man, S.T., a resident of Zarafshan city and the head of a large company, obtained 1 billion sums from the sales of multistory houses built in the territory of Karmana district and purchased construction materials for this money without depositing into the bank account and thus earned money through fraud.

S.T. is arrested. A criminal case has been initiated against the convict and investigative actions are underway.
