Drug dealer detained in Tashkent region (video)

Representatives of the Office for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Main Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs held an operational event in Tashkent region, during which a large drug dealer was detained, TV channel “Uzbekistan 24” reports.

Following the investigations of the house No.79, located on Navruz Street, "Uzgarish" local administration, Zangiata district, 5.8 kilograms of marijuana and 735 grams of poppy heads were found in 124 matchboxes, glass jars and other containers.

The owner of the house grew them in his greenhouse. But this was only the beginning of the discoveries of the investigative team. When the basement was searched, there were found over 11 kg of marijuana, 13 kilograms 948 grams of opium stem and 5 kilograms of poppy opium seeds. They were packed and well hidden.

Furthermore, continued operational activities led the officers to the bedroom where four plastic bags, 11 glass jars, 24 matchboxes and 4 cans of coffee were filled with 1 kilogram 346 grams of marijuana and 1 kilogram 231 grams of opium.

In total, more than 34 kilograms of various narcotic substances were seized from the drug dealer.

Now law enforcement officers are conducting operational activities aimed at identifying the sources of these drugs.
