Uzbek police detained a hacker who used a social network to steal money from a plastic card
Law enforcement officers detained a hacker who used a social network to steal money from a plastic card, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
“On October 21, M.A., a resident of Sharof Rashidov Street, Jizzakh, appealed to the regional Department of Internal Affairs and stated that 14 million sums, which was transferred to her plastic card on October 17, was stolen by an unknown source via internet,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.
Following the investigations it was uncovered that Sh.P., a local of Arnasay district, had transferred this money to his friend’s account through social network services.
He was detained by the operational team of the Ministry in no time. Currently, the case is being closely examined.
