Delegation of the European Parliament to visit Uzbekistan
On October 29, 2018, delegation of the European Parliament headed by Iveta Grigule-Pēterse, the Chairman of the Delegation for Relations with the Countries of Central Asia and Mongolia, arrives in Uzbekistan, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
The delegation of the European Parliament is expected to attend the 14th meeting of the Parliamentary Cooperation Committee "Uzbekistan - European Union" in Tashkent.
Furthermore, the agenda of the visit includes holding meetings and negotiations in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economics, Employment and Labor Relations, Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, the State Committee for Ecology and Environment Protection and the Committee for Religious Affairs of Uzbekistan.
During the meetings, the sides will discuss the issues of further improving Uzbekistan-EU relations.
