Uzbekistan to establish Cultural Center named after Alisher Navoi to promote Uzbek language abroad
Cultural Center named after Alisher Navoi is expected to be established in Uzbekistan. This is envisaged in the “program of measures to work with Uzbek people living abroad”, which was by the President on October 25, 2018.
The primary objective of the center will be promoting Uzbek language, culture and traditions through organizing Uzbek language and literature courses, seminars, cultural evenings, conferences and festivals in foreign countries.
By May 1, 2019 the experience of Confucius (China), Goethe (Germany), Servantes (Spain) and Yunus Emre (Turkey) institutes will be studied. On this basis, several branches of the “Alisher Navoi” Cultural Center will be opened abroad.
