Uzbekistan to increase the salary of health care workers by 26,5%
The President of Uzbekistan instructed the parliament to submit a thoroughly elaborated Budgetary Note for 2019 and a draft of corresponding law on amendment of tax policy, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
Instructions were also given on the introduction of a simplified mechanism for paying value-added tax, inventory and optimization of valid benefits. While discussing the expenditures of the budget for 2019, the president stressed that expenses should be focused mainly on the social and economic spheres.
“We must continue the policy of increasing salaries, pensions and allowances from the budget that will be no lower than the inflation rate next year as well. Wherein, the main attention should be paid to social workers with relatively low wage growth rates. We need to increase the salaries of health care workers by 26,5 % and employees of higher education institutions and science by 1,5 times," the head of state said.
As noted at the meeting, it is planned to increase the disbursements on social allowances by 20% and the share of wages and equivalent payments from 49 to 54%.
Attention was paid to the implementation of state projects. The need to attract foreign funds for this on concessionary terms, to form and include in the Investment Program for 2019 a specific list of objects to be repaired under the programs “Obod kishlok” and “Obod makhalla” were noted.
In addition, instructions were given to further strengthen control on the targeted and effective use of budgetary funds.
