French Total E&P, Russian NOVATEK eye to enter Uzbek oil and gas market

“Uzbekneftegaz” JSC hosted a meeting with the representatives of Total E&P and NOVATEK companies, the press service of the Uzbek joint stock company said.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the possibilities of partnership in detail. The representatives of French and Russian companies became interested in the current legislation of Uzbekistan regarding the investment issues. Besides, in order to further develop their action plan, they want to study geological and geophysical data and examine the existing infrastructure near the invested blocks of oil and gas plants.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed on future cooperation areas and expressed their contentment with the results of the meeting held.
