Uzbekistan tops the list of labor migrants registered in Russia

Since January 2018, in accordance with the report of the Federal Migration Service of Russia, Uzbekistan is at the top by the number of labor migrants arriving in Russia.
In January-September 2018, more than 3,400,000 Uzbek citizens departed for Russia. Of these, 1,573,791 went to work.
Tajikistan occupied the second place. Over 1,745,000 citizens of the republic left for Russia during the first nine months of 2018. 790,116 of them went to be employed in the RF.
The third and the fourth places were taken by Ukraine (347,272 people arrived in Russia) and Kyrgyzstan (247,658 people) respectively.
According to the report, since the beginning of the year, 1,249,664 labor migrants were registered in Moscow, the Russian capital.
In addition, migrant workers are most frequently employed in Krasnodar, Samara, Novosibirsk, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Province, Krasnoyarsk Region, Tatarstan and Irkutsk.
