Uzbekistan presented 25 buses to Afghanistan
In Kabul, a gifting ceremony of 25 buses, manufactured in Uzbekistan and presented to the Ministry of Higher Education of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan, was held.
The presidential gift to the Afghan people was handed over by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Yadgarkhodja Shadmanov.
At the ceremony, officials of the ministries and departments noted with satisfaction the perceptible intensification of the Afghan-Uzbek relations in all spheres, which are inextricably linked, first of all, with the openness of policy pursued by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and strengthening friendly ties with neighboring Afghanistan.
“Uzbekistan’s efforts to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan deserve appreciation thanks to stepping up trade-economic cooperation, assisting the country in implementing major infrastructure projects and engaging Afghanistan in regional economic integration processes”, the Minister of Transport Mukhammad Khamid Takhmasi said.
The Minister of Higher Education Najibullah Khoja Omari expressed deep gratitude to the Uzbek President for such a significant gift to the Afghan people. He noted that this event was a vivid example of Uzbekistan’s fraternal attitude towards the people of Afghanistan.
