Tashkent may open an Israeli school specialized in a physical, mathematical and technological bias
Holon Institute of Technology and the National University of Uzbekistan are considering the possibility of creating a joint school with a physical, mathematical and technological inclination, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
This was announced following the negotiations of the delegation of Holon Institute of Technology, headed by its president, Professor Eduard Yakubov and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan (MPE).
First Deputy Minister of Public Education Alisher Umarov noted that Uzbekistan is now studying the experience of developed countries in the field of education. At the same time, the ministry is also interested in the experience of Israel, particularly, in organizing training for STEAM disciplines and ICT.
The Uzbek side also expressed interest in studying textbooks in mathematics, physics and other subjects of Israeli schools for possible adaptation.
“The issues of creating a joint school of physical-mathematical and technological bias with the involvement of the National University of Uzbekistan, cooperation in the training and retraining of teachers were discussed. Issues of training qualified ICT specialists in schools of Uzbekistan with subsequent employment were considered,” the ministry stated.
Eduard Yakubov noted that Israel is interested in developing cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of education and expressed willingness to share its experience. He invited representatives of the MPE to visit Israel for studying the country’s education system and establish cooperation.
