Creation of this Center is the fruit of a long-term trustful cooperation of the Academies of Science of China and Uzbekistan.

It can be assumed that the Center will certainly become an important platform for scientific and educational cooperation between two countries. It will play a positive role in the exchange of academic staff, academic communication, sharing resources and training of scientific personnel in the field of research and sustainable development of Central Asian drug flora.
According to Zhang Wenchuan, chargé d’affaires of the Chinese embassy in Uzbekistan, the Center of Drug Research will continuously improve the technical level and expand its influence in order to create a high-quality platform for international scientific-technical cooperation. Relying on Uzbekistan, the Center will be expanded throughout the Central Asia and attract more countries in the region to cooperate in order to become a “premium brand” of China’s scientific, technical and innovative cooperation with the countries along the “One belt, one road” project.
