“Uzbekistan Airways” to be reorganized
Excessive monopolization of civil aviation, including exploiting of land infrastructure has led to a significant drop of service in this area in comparison to the world standards. Additionally, it has resulted in the loss of profitability of some airports in the country. It is stated in the decree signed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the document, “Uzbekistan Airways” will be reorganized. Within the base of the national airline “Uzbekistan Airways” JSC, “Complex of air travelers” SUE, “Chief agency of air communications” and “Uzaviatekhtaminot” complex are expected to be established.
In addition, “Uzbekistan Airports” JSC will be set up in order to effectively utilize the potential of airports in Uzbekistan. The company will be engaged in serving the aircrafts, as well as development of international cooperation and improving the airport infrastructure.
Also, relevant work will be carried out on the establishment of modern trade points and creation of banking services on the territory of airports.
The decree, in the meantime, identified the main tasks of the establishments.
