Illegal transportations of alcoholic beverages were prevented by customs officers
Import of alcoholic beverages, which impact negatively on the health of the population, is under strict control of the government.
Nevertheless, there are still attempts – violation of existing procedures of bring alcoholic products into our country.
While checking the handbags of the citizen B. R., who has been entering the customs post “S. Najimov” at the customs service of Tashkent region, 17 bottles of “Jack Daniels” whisky bottles, hidden in his hand luggage, were seized. Interestingly, the passenger did not record in the customs clearance declaration and even did not mention during verbal interrogations.
The customs post employees discovered that another citizen R. T. also attempted to import 25 liters of alcohol without complying with proper customs regulations.
At the border post “Yallama”, it was found out that a citizen Kh. F. tried to bring in 28 bottles of vodka and cognac alcoholic beverages worth 1.3 million sums, exceeding the permissible norms of duty-free import.
Another similar situation was detected at the border customs service “Gishtkuprik”. It was disclosed that citizen B. B. was importing 9 bottles of whisky and vodka products worth 2.3 million sums, also exceeding the set customs standards.
