State Committee for Tourism appointed Uzbekistan’s Tourism Brand Ambassador to Indonesia

On November 29, the official ceremony of awarding the diploma “Ambassador of Tourism of Uzbekistan to Indonesia” was held in the conference hall of the hotel Ichan Kala. For such an honorary position of the State Committee for Tourism, candidacy of the rector of the largest private Indonesian university “Gunadarma” and Chairman of the Indonesia-Uzbekistan Friendship Society in Indonesia Professor Ms. Eco Sri Margianti was selected.

In 2018, Ms. Margianti was awarded the title of honorary professor of Tashkent State University of Economics. During the last three years, two monographs and more than ten scientific articles were published together with Uzbek scientists. Monographs are mainly published in the Indonesian publishing houses.

It should be recalled that in order to expand international cooperation in the development of tourism and promote the country's tourism potential abroad, the State Tourism Development Committee introduced the Institute of Tourism Brand Ambassador of Uzbekistan and appointed ambassadors of a tourism brand in Japan, South Korea, Israel, Kazakhstan and other countries.
