“Up to” prefix will be removed from internet tariffs and guaranteed declared internet speed will be provided to customers, Alisher Zufarov, Head of Sales and Service Development Department of Uzbektelecom, said.

“The connection speed stated in the description of the tariff plans will be guaranteed to those who choose Uzbektelecom as their internet provider. Starting from December, we will introduce new unlimited guaranteed tariff plans. From then onwards, the cost of unlimited guaranteed internet at a speed of 2 megabits per second will be 88,000 sums per month. It is more than twice cheaper than the previous similar tariff plan,” Mr. Zufarov noted.

“In order to achieve such figures,” he added “the company upgraded the International Packet Switching Center (IPSC) complexes, increasing their total capacity 10 times from 110 Gbps to 1,200 Gbps of consolidated traffic”.

Besides, from December 2018, the price for 1 Mbps for operators and providers will be 85,000 sums (currently, 169 459 sums).
