Uzbekistan to launch telemedicine system by 2020
The Uzbek government plans to open a Center for unified medical information and introduce a system of “smart medicine”, norma.uz reports.
Within the framework of the project, the infrastructure of the Unified Telemedicine Network (UTS) will appear. It will include all medical institutions of the republic. The Center for Unified Medical Information will have to ensure its functioning, as well as introduce “smart medicine” technologies.
Thanks to telemedicine technology, doctors will be able to communicate with patients who are in another clinic in distant cities.
In addition, physicians will be able to conduct tele-lectures and seminars.
Besides, patient information will be transferred to a counseling center.
A phased launch of the telemedicine system is scheduled for 2020.
