Uzbekistan, Algeria eye to establish Intergovernmental Commission
First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhom Nematov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Naser Boucherit, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
The parties discussed the prospects of improving bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Algeria in political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.
It was noted that under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev profound transformations are being carried out in Uzbekistan, covering almost all spheres of life and creating new opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
The sides also exchanged views on proposals for the timing and agenda of upcoming contacts at various levels, conducting inter-MFA political consultations on a regular basis, creating the Intergovernmental Commission, and other joint cooperation institutions.
