Uzbek, Lithuanian Deputy Foreign Ministers to meet in Tashkent
On December 13, 2018, a regular round of ministerial political consultations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Lithuania at the level of deputy foreign ministers will be held in Tashkent, MFA reported.
It should be recalled that on 7-8 May, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius paid a maiden visit to Uzbekistan and met with the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, the Ministers of Foreign Trade and Agriculture, and other officials.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Lithuania were established on 5 August 1992. The Embassy of Lithuania in Moscow is accredited to Uzbekistan, while the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Riga is accredited to Lithuania.
