Uzbekistan’s FM supports Afghan President’s initiative

The Office of Public Relations and Media of Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry informs that the Uzbek side welcomes the initiative of the President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the establishment of Peace Advisory Council and the government group on peace negotiations, the press service of the Ministry reported.

This decision may open up opportunities for broad participation in the peaceful political process by representatives of all sectors of multi-ethnic Afghan society.

Uzbekistan firmly believes that resolving the situation in Afghanistan will certainly contribute to ensuring security and developing regional cooperation in Central and South Asia.
