On Wednesday, Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Erkin Yuldashev commented on the progress of criminal cases against Rashid Kadirov, Gulnara Karimova and Abdusalom Yuldashev at a meeting of the International Press Club.
“The investigation against the case of the former Prosecutor General Rashid Kadirov is at the completion stage. The results of the criminal case will be uncovered in detail to the public, the head of the country spoke about this several times. We will report the date and place of the trial,” he said.
The deputy head of the Prosecutor General’s Office said that the investigation of the criminal case against the first deputy chairman of the State Tax Committee Abdusalom Yuldashev is underway. In May 2018, he was arrested in the Fergana region and taken to Tashkent.
The daughter of the first president Gulnara Karimova is currently serving a sentence in Uzbekistan, Erkin Yuldashev also noted. “Gulnara Karimova is serving the sentence provided for by the court ruling in the territory of Uzbekistan,” the Deputy Prosecutor General said.
