Andijan’s investment potential presented in India
In Ahmedabad city of Gujarat province, India, a business forum on “New opportunities for Indian business in Uzbekistan – India Free Pharmaceutical Zone in Andijan region” was held.
The forum, which was organized by the Khokimiyat of Andijan region jointly with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India and the Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA), was attended by representatives of leading Indian pharmaceutical companies.
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to India F. Arziyev and the Deputy Khokim of Andijan region S. Khabibullayev briefed the participants of the forum about new investment opportunities created in Uzbekistan, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry. Special emphasis was placed on the investment potential of Andijan region.

The parties expressed mutual trust in further expansion of relations through establishing Uzbekistan – India Free Pharmaceutical Zone.
