Tashkent is the sixth most attractive tourist destination for winter holidays among the CIS cities
Astana and Tashkent are included in the list of most attractive tourist destination for winter trips, TASS reports.
Minsk, Baku and Astana were top three attractions in the CIS space for winter holidays. The rating was compiled by the analytical agency “TourStat” and posted on Wednesday on its website.
“Minsk, Baku and Astana are leading tourist destinations in the CIS in the winter of 2019,” the report reads. Among the ski resorts, Logoisk and Silichi in Belarus, Shahdag and Tufandag in Azerbaijan, and Chimbulak in Kazakhstan are popular with tourists from the CIS.
According to the agency, on average, tourists come to the cities of the CIS for a period from three to seven days. For low-cost trips, they usually choose Uzbekistan (Tashkent this season was on the sixth place) or Moldova (Chisinau took the eighth position).
